Descrizione:3,5-Dihydroxybenzamide is an amide derivative that has anticancer activity. This compound inhibits the growth of C. glabrata by inhibiting protein synthesis in the mitochondria and DNA replication in the nucleus. 3,5-Dihydroxybenzamide also inhibits the growth of cancer cells by binding to a molecule that is involved in cancer cell proliferation. The inhibitor molecule binds to a specific site on the molecule, preventing it from forming new cancer cells. The mechanism of action for this compound is not known, but may be due to its ability to bind with chloride ions or its ability to form supramolecular chemistry with other molecules.
