Descrizione:Dibenzo-30-crown-10-ether is a coordination complex that contains two benzoate groups and two ether groups. It has shown to be an efficient adsorbent for the removal of lysine residues from wastewater. Dibenzo-30-crown-10-ether is also used in analytical chemistry as a standard chemical shift reference, which can be determined by its nmr spectra. It is also used as a catalyst in titration calorimetry experiments on organic solutions, such as urine samples. The hydrogen bonding interactions between the benzoate and ether groups may be important for its binding properties.
