4,4'-Dibromobiphenyl is a diphenyl ether that is used in the synthesis of palladium complexes. It is also used as a carbon source for polymer films. The structural formula of 4,4'-dibromobiphenyl is C 12 H 10 Br 2 . This compound can be debrominated with hydrochloric acid to form biphenyl. 4,4'-Dibromobiphenyl has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties and can be used as a specific antibody against dry weight.
