Descrizione:Desogestrel impurity E is a potent human endometrial carcinogen that is used in the form of conjugates with estrogens. It has been shown to be a risk factor for endometrial cancer and uterine bleeding. Catalysing the conversion of estrogen into estradiol, desogestrel impurity E is found in contraceptive steroids, most notably those that are used for on-line contraception. It also has been shown to have an effect on the liver and other organs, such as the brain and prostate gland. Desogestrel impurity E may cause cancer of the endometrium and other parts of the female reproductive system, including the ovaries and breasts.
