2,4-Difluoronitrobenzene is a nucleophilic compound that can be synthesized by reacting 2,4-dinitrobenzene with an acylating agent such as trifluoroacetic acid or hydroxide solution. It is a colorless liquid that does not react with water vapor and has high chemical stability. This compound is activated by hydrogen bonding interactions and is able to react with the carbon atom of aliphatic hydrocarbon. The reaction between 2,4-difluoronitrobenzene and muscle cells leads to cell proliferation.
