Descrizione

Dasabuvir is a novel antiviral agent that inhibits the activity of viral polymerase, preventing dna replication. Dasabuvir has a concentration-time curve that can be used to determine the time of peak plasma concentrations and the time required for an antiviral response.

Dasabuvir is metabolized by CYP3A4 and CYP2D6 and interacts with drugs that are substrates or inhibitors of these enzymes. Dasabuvir has been shown to inhibit hepatitis B virus (HBV) in vitro and in vivo, as well as other infectious diseases such as HIV, herpes simplex virus type 1, influenza A virus, varicella-zoster virus, cytomegalovirus, West Nile virus, Japanese encephalitis virus, and dengue fever.
