Descrizione

5,4'-Dimethoxyflavone is a flavonoid that has been found to have regulatory effects on the cell cycle. It has been shown to inhibit the catalysis of dibromides and granules in isolated rat pancreatic cells. This compound also inhibits bladder cancer in rats by debromination of 5,4'-dimethoxyflavone-7-o-bromide and reduces the number of bladder cancers in mice by methoxylation. 5,4'-Dimethoxyflavone has been used as an anti-cancer agent for bladder cancer with promising results.
