Descrizione

Demethylwedelolactone is a natural compound found in the plant Angelica Dahurica. It has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties and to be hepatoprotective. Demethylwedelolactone has also been shown to inhibit tumor growth in vitro and in vivo, as well as reducing the invasiveness of cancer cells. This compound may also have an immunomodulatory effect, which would make it useful for the treatment of autoimmune diseases. Demethylwedelolactone might inhibit toll-like receptor signaling and inflammatory cytokine production, leading to its anti-inflammatory effects. Demethylwedelolactone has been shown to inhibit polymerase chain reactions by binding to the dna template strand, although it does not interfere with transcription or translation.
