Descrizione

Cucurbit[6]uril hydrate is an organocatalyst that is used in the synthesis of organic compounds. It is a tetra-substituted derivative of cucurbit[7]uril with four hydroxy groups and can be used as a catalyst for reactions involving electron-deficient aromatic compounds. Cucurbit[6]uril hydrate has been used to study the effects of hydrophobic interactions on drug release from liposomes and has also been shown to increase the rate of reaction between coumarin derivatives, which are often used in chemical biology.
