Descrizione:3-Ethylthiophene is a colorless liquid that is soluble in ether, chloroform and benzene. It has a melting point of -11°C, boiling point of 121°C and flash point of 101°C. 3-Ethylthiophene has been shown to be an excellent acceptor for electrochemical polymerization and can be used as a monomer in the production of polyethylene terephthalate. This chemical has also been used as an analytical method for human immunodeficiency virus-1 (HIV-1) and other viruses. 3-Ethylthiophene is also utilized in the desulfurization process for petroleum products and is capable of removing sulfur from petroleum oils.
