Descrizione:Etanercept is a recombinant protein that binds to both the soluble and transmembrane forms of TNF-α. It is used to treat rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, Crohn's disease, ankylosing spondylitis, and other inflammatory diseases. Etanercept has been shown to be effective in reducing symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis and decreasing levels of c-reactive protein (CRP). Etanercept binds to TNF-α and prevents it from activating cells. It also reduces production of other pro-inflammatory cytokines such as IL-1 receptor antagonist and necrosis factor.
