Descrizione:3-Epi-dehydrotumulosic acid (3EHT) is a natural product that inhibits the growth of cancer cells by inhibiting DNA synthesis and cell proliferation. 3EHT has been shown to have inhibitory activities against du145, cell line A549, and leukemia HL-60 cells. It also has anti-inflammatory properties that may be due to its inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis. This compound has been found to be a potent inhibitor of colonic adenocarcinoma in an animal model. 3EHT was found to inhibit tumor cell growth in vitro and in vivo through the induction of apoptosis and necrosis. The mechanism for these effects is unclear, but may involve neutralizing reactive oxygen species generated by the cancer cells themselves or from dietary supplements like pachymic acid. 3EHT also exhibits diuretic effects on intestinal epithelium, which may be related to its ability to inhibit sodium channels.br>
