Descrizione:Ethyl 2-(4-(((phenylcarbonylamino)thioxomethyl)amino)-3,5-thiazolyl)acetate is a benzoic acid ethyl ester that belongs to the group of benzoyl derivatives. It is an antifungal agent with broad spectrum activity against a variety of fungi and yeasts. The chemical structure includes an aromatic ring, which can be substituted with a phenyl group at position 4 (e.g., chlorophenyl), and a 3,5-thiazolyl group at position 2. The thiazole moiety is found in many pharmaceuticals as it has been shown to inhibit the synthesis of DNA, RNA, and protein in cells by binding to the ribosomes on the endoplasmic reticulum of the cell. This inhibition leads to cell death.
