Descrizione:17-Epiestriol is a weak estrogen that regulates the menstrual cycle, prevents pre-eclampsia, and decreases the risk of cardiovascular disease. 17-Epiestriol is sometimes used to treat menopausal symptoms. The concentration of 17-epiestriol in blood plasma is determined by body mass index (BMI). This hormone plays an important role in maintaining a woman's health during her reproductive years. It has been shown that there is a negative correlation between levels of 17-epiestriol and the use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Preterm birth may be due to lack of 17-epiestriol.
