• Descrizione: 2-Ethoxybenzhydrazide is a monomer that can be used to prepare heterodimers. 2-Ethoxybenzhydrazide is irradiated with ultraviolet light or electron beam and the resulting photoinduced or thermal reaction yields a monomeric or dimeric hydrazone. The heterodimer can then be prepared by reacting the monomers in chloroform. This drug has a number of uses as an intermediate in the synthesis of diimidazole and diimide, which are agents that inhibit fungal growth.
