Descrizione:Ethyl 2-oxocyclohexanecarboxylate, also known as ethyl 2-oxocyclohexanoate, is a methyl ketone that is chemically synthesized by the reaction of ethyl bromoacetate with hydrochloric acid. It has been shown to have antiinflammatory activity in rats. The rate of ethyl 2-oxocyclohexanecarboxylate's conversion to the corresponding carboxylic acid is first order and its inhibitory effect on the synthesis of prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) is completely reversible.
