Descrizione:2-Ethyl-1,4-diazine is an anti-inflammatory compound that belongs to the class of diazo compounds. It is used as a Chinese herb for inflammatory diseases. 2-Ethyl-1,4-diazine has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties in vitro and in vivo. It has also been shown to inhibit cancer cells in vitro and in vivo. The mechanism of action of 2-ethyl-1,4-diazine is not well understood but it may be due to its ability to block nitric oxide production or modulate mitochondrial membrane potential by binding copper ions. This compound binds copper ions and forms complexes with hydrochloric acid or other organic acids to form reaction products that can be detected using a solid phase microextraction technique.
