Descrizione

Echinatin is a natural compound that has shown to have hypoglycemic effects. The extract of the wild-type strain of the plant Echinacea purpurea, Etoac, contains echinatin and other compounds that have been shown to affect enzyme activities. This extract may be used for the diagnosis of diseases such as mitochondrial membrane potential, pro-apoptotic protein, and energy metabolism. Echinatin has been shown to bind dna in biological studies with a high affinity. It also has an inhibitory effect on transfer reactions, which may be due to its ability to inhibit polymerase chain reaction (PCR).
