• Descrizione: 3-(3-Fluorophenyl)propionic acid is a cinnamic acid derivative that has been shown to have bacteriostatic activity against a number of bacteria. 3-(3-Fluorophenyl)propionic acid inhibits the growth of bacteria by reacting with active site amino groups on enzymes, thereby preventing the catalytic reactions from occurring. It has been shown to be active against triticum aestivum, an enzyme preparation derived from wheat. 3-(3-Fluorophenyl)propionic acid also inhibits the growth of bacteria in infected wounds and may be useful for the treatment of infectious diseases such as tuberculosis and malaria.
