Descrizione

Fmoc-Cit-OH is a monomethyl auristatin, a type of antibody drug conjugate (ADC), which is used in the treatment of certain cancers. Fmoc-Cit-OH binds to the extracellular domain of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), a protein found on the surface of cells, and delivers an anti-cancer agent called monomethyl auristatin E (MMAE) intracellularly. The linker between Fmoc-Cit-OH and MMAE prevents cell death by preventing MMAE from binding to other proteins in the extracellular environment. This ADC has been shown to be effective against some types of cancer, including colorectal cancer and lung cancer, as well as some types of leukemia.
