Descrizione:Forasartan is a protein target and enzyme inhibitor that has been used for the treatment of cardiac disease and hypertension. Forasartan is a potent inhibitor of angiotensin II, a major pressor hormone that promotes vasoconstriction, and prevents the formation of angiotensin II from angiotensin I. Forasartan also blocks the production of angiotensin II by blocking the activity of renin, an enzyme involved in the production of angiotensin I. The drug has been shown to be effective against congestive heart failure and high blood pressure. Forasartan has also been shown to inhibit growth factor-β1, which can lead to cell death.
