Descrizione:Furanodienone is a natural product that has been shown to have anticancer properties. It inhibits the growth of carcinoma cells by inducing apoptosis and arresting the cell cycle. Furanodienone also has inhibitory effects on infectious diseases, such as Candida albicans, Escherichia coli, and Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Furanodienone has been shown to inhibit Cox-2 and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) levels in T84 cells, which may be due to its ability to inhibit mitochondrial membrane potential. Furanodienone also inhibits benzalkonium chloride-induced cytotoxicity in fructus ligustri cells by inhibiting the production of PGE2.
