Descrizione:Fenthoxon sulfoxide is an insecticide that is used as a pesticide. It can be detected by ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography (UHPLC) with a detection limit of 0.1 parts per billion (ppb). Fenthoxon sulfoxide is a stereoselective sulfoxide, which means it has the ability to react selectively with one of two enantiomers and not react with the other. This property makes fenthoxon sulfoxide useful for analytical purposes in determining the ratio of R- and S-isomers in samples. Fenthoxon sulfoxide also enhances the activity of organophosphorus insecticides, such as malathion, by inhibiting enzymes that break down these pesticides.
