Descrizione:3-Fluorobenzaldehyde is a benzofuran derivative that has been used as a substrate for the detection of covid-19, an influenza virus. 3-Fluorobenzaldehyde can be detected with high sensitivity by proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy and infrared spectroscopy. It has been shown to be capable of hydrogen bonding interactions. 3-Fluorobenzaldehyde is also able to form intramolecular hydrogen bonds. This compound is soluble in nonpolar solvents and exhibits diphenolase activity. 3-Fluorobenzaldehyde has been shown to be a good substrate for monophenolase activity. It is not active against methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) or Mycobacterium tuberculosis, but it has been studied extensively in biological studies due to its high detection threshold.
