It is used to increase the brightness of colors and make them look whiter. This product also has a number of drug interactions, for example with drugs that are acidic or penetrant. Fluorescent Brightener 134 may interact with diethanolamine to form nitrosamines which can be carcinogenic. The long-term effects of this product on humans are not known and it should not be used near human keratin.
