Descrizione:2-Fluoro-4-formylbenzonitrile is a chiral fluorine compound that has been shown to inhibit the activity of proteases such as trypsin and thrombin. It binds to the active site of these enzymes, preventing them from binding to their substrates. 2-Fluoro-4-formylbenzonitrile has also been shown to produce a significant lowering in plasma cholesterol levels, by interfering with the synthesis of low density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol. This drug binds reversibly to serum protein and is rapidly eliminated from the body, so it does not accumulate in tissues.
