This reaction occurs at room temperature, but requires a long reaction time (several hours). 2-Fluorophenylhydrazine HCl has antioxidant effects and has been shown to inhibit the activity of metabotropic glutamate receptors. 2-Fluorophenylhydrazine HCl is structurally similar to curcumin analogues and has been shown to have antibacterial properties against Andrographis paniculata.
