Descrizione

2-Fluorobenzhydrazide is an antibacterial agent that belongs to the group of phthaloyl compounds. It has been shown to be active against Gram-positive bacteria and Mycobacterium tuberculosis. The crystal structure of 2-fluorobenzhydrazide shows a hydrogen bond with the chloride ion and a strong interaction with the benzodiazepine binding site. The hydroxyl group on the benzene ring may play a role in radical scavenging activity, which is a common property of quinolones. 2-Fluorobenzhydrazide has been shown to be stable in water and organic solvents, with antibacterial activity against Gram-positive and acid-fast bacteria.
