Fraxinellone is a natural compound that has been shown to have anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and apoptosis-inducing properties. It has been shown to inhibit the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as IL-1 and TNF-α, which are involved in the development of bowel inflammation. Fraxinellone also inhibits the activation of toll-like receptor (TLR) signaling pathways and oxidative injury. The mechanism of action of Fraxinellone is through its ability to bind to dna with high affinity and inhibit DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV. This blocks transcriptional activity, leading to apoptosis pathway activation.
