Descrizione:2-Fluoro-DL-phenylglycine is a dietary supplement that is used to treat chronic constipation and hepatic cirrhosis. It is also used as a linker between retinoic acid and hexadecanoic acid in the synthesis of fatty acids. 2-Fluoro-DL-phenylglycine has been shown to protect the liver against toxicity induced by carbon tetrachloride or acetaminophen. It also increases the production of retinoic acid, which can be converted into all-trans retinoic acid (ATRA) with the help of cytochrome P450 enzymes. 2-Fluoro-DL-phenylglycine has been shown to increase the number of fatty acids in the blood, which may be due to its ability to prevent hydrolysis by pancreatic lipase.
