The enzyme activities of phosphatase and anabolic enzymes are potentiated by 5-FdG-Glc, which has been shown to be effective in inhibiting cancer cells and microorganisms. 5-FdG-Glc can also be used for the detection of p-nitrophenyl phosphate, which is a product of lipid peroxidation in cells.
