Descrizione:Z-Gly-Leu-NH2 is a synthetic peptide that has been designed to mimic the amino acid sequence of casein. It is a metalloendopeptidase inhibitor and can be used in the synthesis of proteins. Z-Gly-Leu-NH2 inhibits the activity of subtilisin, which is a proteolytic enzyme. The inhibition of subtilisin by Z-Gly-Leu-NH2 prevents the hydrolysis of peptide bonds in protein substrates. This inhibition leads to an increase in molecular weight and molecular weight distribution, as well as an increase in the number of high molecular weight peaks on chromatograms. This peptide also has serine protease inhibitory activity and can be used as a synthetic substrate for kinetic studies.
