Descrizione:GS 9620 is a prodrug that is converted to its active form, GS-9669, in the liver. The conversion of GS-9620 to GS-9669 is catalyzed by cytochrome P450 (CYP) family 3A4 and 2D6 enzymes. GS-9620 has been shown to reduce hepatic steatosis in mice with chronic viral hepatitis and can be used as an adjunct therapy with other antiretroviral drugs for HIV infection. GS-9620 has antiviral activity against a variety of viruses including HIV, hepatitis B virus, and hepatitis C virus. It also inhibits the activation of toll-like receptors that are involved in inflammation.
