Descrizione

Genkwanin is a natural compound that belongs to the group of flavonoids. It has been shown to be a potent inducer of the matrix metalloproteinases and has pro-inflammatory properties. Genkwanin was found to have low potency in cell culture models, with a range of biological activities including anti-tumour, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant effects. Genkwanin is also able to induce mitochondrial membrane depolarization in HL60 cells, which may be due to its ability to inhibit glucose uptake into cells.
