Descrizione

Guggulsterone is a natural product that has been found to have anti-inflammatory activity. It binds to DNA in the same way as other steroids and alters the structure of the DNA, preventing transcription of genes. Guggulsterone also inhibits the activity of a protein called Bcl-2. This protein is involved in the process that leads to inflammation and cell death by apoptosis. Guggulsterone has been shown to inhibit channel inhibition and activation of nuclear factor κB (NFκB) in response to low doses of lipopolysaccharide, which may lead to chronic liver diseases.
