Descrizione:Griffipavixanthone is an anti-cancer compound that induces apoptosis and significant cytotoxicity. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of cervical cancer cells in culture and in vivo. Griffipavixanthone binds to biomimetic human annexin V and inhibits the binding of phosphatidylserine to annexin V, which prevents the formation of a complex with phosphatidylserine that triggers the activation of caspase-3. Griffipavixanthone also inhibits endothelial cell proliferation by inhibiting vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) signaling.
