• Descrizione: Gnetol is a natural product that has been shown to have antibacterial and anticancer properties. Gnetol inhibits protein synthesis by binding to the hydroxyl group on the fatty acid. This prevents the formation of an enzyme-substrate complex, which is required for protein synthesis. Gnetol also inhibits DNA replication by binding to the acetate extract in tissue culture and affecting the transcription of DNA into RNA. Gnetol has low bioavailability and chemical diversity which may make it difficult to develop resistance against this drug.
