Descrizione:Hydramethylnon is an insecticide, which has been shown to be highly active against a wide range of insects. It is also a potent inhibitor of protein synthesis and this activity may be the reason for its clinical relevance in bowel disease. Hydramethylnon inhibits protein synthesis by binding to the target site on the ribosome and preventing amino acid addition. The compound also has a rapid onset of action, with symptoms appearing after just one day of exposure. The effect can be reversed by removal from the compound’s presence, unlike other insecticides that cause death.
