Descrizione:1-hydroxy-3-cyclopentene is a hydrogen bond acceptor that can act as a hydrogen bond donor in some cases. It is an enolate, or an organic compound with a carbonyl group, and can be found in monomer form or copolymerized with other functional groups. 1-hydroxy-3-cyclopentene is also used to synthesize polymers that are used in the production of natural compounds, such as resins. The ring opening polymerization of 1-hydroxy-3-cyclopentene can be done at temperatures below 100 degrees Celsius and has been shown to have a high degree of stereospecificity.
