Descrizione

Higenamine is a natural compound that has been shown to have the ability to lower blood glucose levels and increase insulin secretion. Higenamine also has been shown to stimulate cellular energy metabolism, which may be due to its ability to inhibit oxidative injury and signal pathways. Higenamine has also been shown to have disease activity-modifying effects in animal models of inflammatory bowel diseases. It is proposed that these effects are mediated through the inhibition of cyclase enzyme activity.
