Descrizione:1-O-Hexadecyl-1,3-propandiol is a fatty acid that has been shown to stimulate the growth of bone marrow cells and accelerate the production of white blood cells. It also has antiviral properties. 1-O-Hexadecyl-1,3-propandiol is used to treat herpes simplex virus infections and as an adjuvant for cancer treatment. This molecule has been shown to inhibit choroidal neovascularization in animal models by inhibiting angiogenic factors such as vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF). 1-O-Hexadecyl-1,3-propandiol can be formulated as a film or solution with cationic surfactants such as benzalkonium chloride, which are effective at reducing aggregation and increasing stability. The particle size of this molecule should be less than 100 nm in order to avoid side effects associated with toxicity
