Descrizione:Hydroxyzine belongs to the group of drugs called piperazines and is used primarily to treat anxiety and related sleep disorders. It has been shown to be effective in treating allergic symptoms, such as itching, hives, and rashes. Hydroxyzine also has effects on locomotor activity in mice by reducing spontaneous motility. This drug binds to peptide hormones and inhibits the production of matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) in human serum. Hydroxyzine also inhibits the function of P-glycoprotein (P-gp).
