Descrizione:7-Hydroxy amoxapine is a drug that is metabolized by the liver to 7-hydroxymoxapine, which is a potent inhibitor of serotonin and dopamine reuptake. It has been shown to have clinical efficacy in psychotic depression and cancer. It has also been shown to inhibit hydrogen bonding and receptor binding. 7-Hydroxy amoxapine inhibits monoamine reuptake within the synapse, leading to increased concentrations of dopamine and serotonin in the central nervous system (CNS). This drug has not been studied for chronic treatment, but it may be effective for symptoms such as hallucinations or delusions.
