Descrizione:5-Hydroxy lornoxicam is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug that inhibits the production of prostaglandins. It binds to the enzyme cyclooxygenase, which converts arachidonic acid to prostaglandin H2, thereby inhibiting pain and inflammation in animals. The 5-hydroxyl group on lornoxicam may make it more metabolically stable than other non-steroidal drugs. Lornoxicam has been shown to be effective in clinical trials against pain in humans and is metabolized mainly by glucuronidation and excreted in the urine.
