• Descrizione: 4-Hydroxythieno[2,3-d]pyrimidine is a synergistic and homogeneous catalyst that is used in the synthesis of epidermal growth factor. It has been shown to have high cytotoxicity against primary cells, such as human keratinocytes and melanoma cells, and inhibits the production of epidermal growth factor by binding to its receptor. 4-Hydroxythieno[2,3-d]pyrimidine binds to the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and prevents it from activating downstream signalling pathways. This binding results in an inhibition of cell proliferation and an induction of apoptosis.
