• Descrizione: 6-Hydroxyhyoscyamine is a natural molecule that can bind to DNA. It has been shown to have high affinity for the 5'-GCAT-3' sequence and high specificity for the G-quadruplex structure. 6-Hydoxyhyoscyamine also has a phase transition temperature of 146°C, which may be due to the hydrogen bonds it forms with water molecules. It has been shown that 6-hydroxyhyoscyamine inhibits tumor cell growth by binding to a specific region of the promoter region of the gene encoding for growth factor β1 (GFβ1) and preventing transcription. This agent also has an inhibitory effect on tumor angiogenesis and vascular permeability, which may be related to its ability to inhibit nitric oxide production in endothelial cells. The compound is also known as anisodamine and can be used as an injection solution for patients who have had a myocardial infarct.
