Descrizione

7-Hydroxyflavanone is a natural phenolic compound that has been shown to inhibit the activity of the P-glycoprotein (Pgp) transporter. This effect has been demonstrated in human serum and tissue culture experiments. 7-Hydroxyflavanone also inhibits the production of estrogen by aromatase, which may be due to its ability to bind to the receptor. The effects of 7-hydroxyflavone on cancer cells have been studied in an experimental model, where it was found that this compound does not inhibit tumor growth but does cause cell death.
