Descrizione:
Hexafluoroacetone is the reaction solution of 1,1,1,3,3,3-hexafluoro-2-propanone with water vapor. It has a strong antimicrobial activity and is used as an additive in paints and coatings to control microbial growth. Hexafluoroacetone has been shown to reduce the thermal expansion of polymers because it can act as a crosslinker between polymer chains. It also has an effect on dielectrics that are sensitive to moisture. Hexafluoroacetone can be used as a catalyst for hydrogen fluoride production and also exhibits high values in autoimmune diseases.
