Isovaleramide is a chemical compound with pharmacokinetic properties. It is used to study the metabolism of drugs in the liver cells. Isovaleramide has been shown to be a gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) analog that can bind to GABA receptors and inhibit the immune reaction. Isovaleramide also has potential as an anti-inflammatory and analgesic drug, as well as being a potential treatment for nervous system diseases such as epilepsy and Parkinson's disease.
