Descrizione:4-Iodobenzenesulfonyl chloride is an inhibitor of matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs), which are enzymes that break down the extracellular matrix. It has been shown to inhibit serine proteases and integrin receptors and has been studied as a possible treatment for autoimmune diseases, bowel disease, and cancer. 4-Iodobenzenesulfonyl chloride also inhibits chemokines, inflammatory diseases, and cancer cells while stimulating fatty acid synthesis. This drug has been shown to be effective in treating women with inflammatory bowel disease by inhibiting MMP-9 activity.
